About Corios
What does Corios do?
Corios is a SAS migration specialist. Its proprietary platform, Corios AMP (Analytics Modernization Platform), migrates SAS code, data, and users to modern cloud platforms for enterprises. Corios AMP is a complete migration stack: a Scanner that reads every line of your SAS estate, a Translator that converts it to open-source code, a Validator that proves the results match your SAS output, the Corios Academy (a self-paced course that teaches SAS programmers open-source languages and best practices for the new environment), and Corios Amplify, which enhances your workloads, not just moves them. Translation is deterministic and rules-based, with purpose-built AI on top, and Corios automates ~100% of it.
Basics
About SAS migration
SAS migration is the process of moving SAS code, data, and users to a different analytics platform, typically open-source languages such as Python and PySpark running on a cloud data platform.
Common reasons include SAS license and infrastructure costs, a move to cloud data platforms, a shift to open-source languages such as Python, and the difficulty of hiring SAS talent.
Corios migrates SAS workloads to modern platforms, such as Snowflake, Databricks, Dataiku, and AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. Learn more: SAS to Snowflake migration, SAS to Databricks migration, and SAS to Dataiku migration.
Scan your SAS estate, convert the code, test workloads together, validate every result against SAS, move your data and users, then retire SAS. Corios runs each step with Corios AMP.
Yes. Corios AMP converts SAS code to Python, PySpark, or SQL automatically, then tests and validates every workload, because converted code is not proof that results are right.
Once every migrated workload is validated against SAS output and your users are on the new platform, you decommission SAS on your timeline. Corios moves the users and trains them through Corios Academy.
The platform
About Corios AMP
Corios AMP is an automated SAS migration platform. It scans your SAS estate, translates code to Python, PySpark, or SQL, validates the results, and trains your team, covering code, data, and users. Corios Amplify, an optional part of Corios AMP, also discovers where your workloads can be enhanced, not just moved.
Look for a tool built for SAS that covers scanning, translation, integration testing, and validation, and that compares results against your SAS output. Corios AMP is built only for SAS and covers all four.
The Scanner inventories your SAS estate and grades every workload, including against eight improvement categories, so you know what you have and what is worth enhancing before you commit to a plan.
Rules-based, deterministic translation handles most of your code. Purpose-built AI trained on SAS migration patterns handles the complex cases.
The Validator compares results between SAS and the new platform cell by cell, then remediates differences iteratively until the outputs match. Quality review logs document the results.
Corios Academy is a self-paced online course built specifically for SAS programmers to learn open-source languages such as Python, PySpark, and SQL using the knowledge they already have. It includes guidebooks, PowerPoints, videos, and quizzes, and runs about 60 hours.
Corios Amplify is the part of Corios AMP that finds where your SAS workloads can be better, not just moved. It runs in three steps: Discover, where the scan grades every workload against eight improvement categories; Enhance, where the workloads with real potential are rebuilt; and Implement, where the enhanced workloads run through Corios AMP to the platform you choose.
No. Corios Amplify is an optional add-on. You can migrate like for like and add Amplify for the workloads with the most potential.
Planning
Timeline and risk
It depends on the size of your SAS estate. The Corios scan inventories your estate and produces a scoped plan and proposal. When enterprises use AI alone to attempt SAS migration, it takes developers, on average, 6 to 9 months or more to fix issues caused by AI and then validate the translated workloads. Corios does it in 10 to 30 percent of the time.
You can translate code with general-purpose AI, but the results are rarely correct. In a Corios benchmark on enterprise SAS programs, general-purpose AI translated most of the code, but only 9 to 11 percent of the output was semantically correct. Read the full benchmark: SAS Migration with AI: Corios vs Doing It Yourself.
Yes, with Corios Amplify, an optional part of Corios AMP. The Scanner grades every workload against eight improvement categories, and Amplify enhances and rebuilds the workloads with real potential. You receive a validated like-for-like estate and enhanced versions of the workloads that will make the most impact.
Trust
Security and working with others
Corios holds an independent SOC 2 Type 2 report, with its 2026 audit under way, and has passed the AWS Foundational Technical Review. Corios AMP runs in a secure environment, and your SAS code is never sent to a public AI tool.
Yes. Corios works alongside systems integrators and with platform partners including Snowflake, Databricks, Dataiku, and AWS. Corios supplies the SAS-specific platform and expertise, and your chosen partner supports the wider program.
