About Corios
What does Corios do?
Corios is a SAS migration specialist. Its proprietary platform, Corios AMP (Analytics Modernization Platform), migrates SAS code, data, and users to modern cloud platforms for enterprises. Corios AMP is a complete migration stack: a Scanner that reads every line of your SAS estate, a Translator that converts it to open-source code, a Validator that proves the results match your SAS output, the Corios Academy (a self-paced course that teaches SAS programmers open-source languages and best practices for the new environment), and Corios Amplify, which enhances your workloads, not just moves them. Translation is deterministic and rules-based, with purpose-built AI on top, and Corios automates ~100% of it.
Corios is based in Portland, Oregon, and was founded in 2011. Our team brings more than 200 years of combined SAS experience to every SAS migration engagement.
What you get
What do Corios SAS migration services include?
Every Corios engagement covers the full migration, from the first scan to the last validated result.
What are the three phases of a SAS migration?
Every SAS migration has three phases: translation, integration testing, and validation. Most teams plan around translation. That is the mistake. Translation feels like 80 percent of the work. It is closer to 10 percent. Validation is the other 90 percent. Corios automates ~100% of translation and validates every result against SAS.
AI and SAS
Why is general-purpose AI not a SAS migration strategy?
Many teams try pointing a general-purpose AI model at their SAS code. In Corios testing on enterprise SAS programs, the AI translated most of the code, but only 9 to 11 percent of the results were semantically correct.
The AI model is not the difference. What surrounds it is: deterministic rules, integration testing, validation, and SAS expertise. How you use AI matters more than which AI you use. See the full benchmark: Corios vs DIY AI.
Corios Amplify
What is Corios Amplify?
Corios Amplify is the part of Corios AMP that enhances and rebuilds your SAS workloads before they move. It works in three steps: Discover, Enhance, and Implement. During the scan, Amplify discovers which workloads carry real potential by grading each one against eight improvement categories. It then enhances and rebuilds the workloads that will make the most impact and shows what each one is worth. Finally, the enhanced workloads run through Corios AMP like everything else.
Amplify is optional. Migration alone gives you a validated, like-for-like estate. Amplify adds stronger code on top: workloads that are faster, safer, and easier to trust.

FAQ
SAS migration services FAQ
SAS migration is the process of moving SAS code, data, and users to a different analytics platform, typically open-source languages such as Python and PySpark running on a cloud data platform like Snowflake or Databricks.
Scan your SAS estate, convert the code, test workloads together, validate every result against SAS, move your data and users, then retire SAS. Corios runs each step with Corios AMP.
It depends on the size of your SAS estate. The Corios scan inventories your estate and produces a scoped plan and proposal. When enterprises use AI alone to attempt SAS migration, it takes developers, on average, 6 to 9 months or more to fix issues caused by AI and then validate the translated workloads. Corios does it in 10 to 30 percent of the time.
No. The Corios AMP Translator converts your SAS code automatically, and the Validator confirms the results match your SAS output.
Common reasons include SAS license and infrastructure costs, a move to cloud data platforms, a shift to open-source languages such as Python, and the difficulty of hiring SAS talent.
Corios Amplify is the part of Corios AMP that finds where your SAS workloads can be better, not just moved. It runs in three steps: Discover, where the scan grades every workload against eight improvement categories; Enhance, where the workloads with real potential are rebuilt; and Implement, where the enhanced workloads run through Corios AMP to the platform you choose.
No. Corios Amplify is an optional add-on. You can migrate like for like and add Amplify for the workloads with the most potential.
